Travelling in Tanzania
Game viewing Safaris in the Serengeti will usually start from Arusha or Moshi since most visitors fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport 50 km east of Arusha.
You can hire a car, with or without chauffeur for your safari. If you do this you should make your reservations for lodges and hotels before setting off. It is far simpler (and cheaper!), however, to book an all-inclusive tour, which will include accomodation, meals, transport, and park fees.
If you have already had safari experience, then we do not need to tell you not to undertake too much on one visit. On a safari drive it is better to take your time observing, rather than using it to reach other destinations. You will get more out of your trip to the Dark Continent if you bring along a good field guide giving you background information on the wildlife you encounter.
